This model features the Flame Maple finish, top and back, set off with front and back cream sides & body bindings, cream/brown stacked pointer volume and tone controls, and a cream headstock. Optional cream pickguard with adhesive strips included. **Please note there can be slight variations in the grain of the finish and may not look exactly like the stock photo.**

Open the pearly gates! Danelectro¨ launched this in 1959, naming it the "Deluxe". A huge understatement! This hot reissue features our Vintage 50's Lipstick¨ Pickups, adjustable bridge, front and back binding, pointer knobs, and Gotoh¨ vintage 15:1 tuners.
About the new Vintage 50's pickups:
We dissected, bisected, and THEN resurrected the awesome tone and warmth of the 1950's Danelectro Lipstick Pickups. Magnets are sand cast Alnico 6, just like the old ones. The Lipstick tubes are 80/20 brass zinc, just like the tubes Danelectro bought from cosmetics maker Max Factor back in the day. These Vintage 50's Pickups kick out warm lows, searing mids, and sweet highs. These babies sing! You have never heard Danelectro until you have heard these. Sonic Heaven!
The body frame of this guitar is made of solid spruce, producing superior tone and durability (no longer plywood, which is why the newer D59 models are slightly more expensive than the older D59 models).
