The Takamine GD30CE NAT is a stage-ready acoustic-electric dreadnought combining solid-top construction, classic Takamine playability, and versatile onboard electronics. A solid spruce top paired with okoume back and sides gives the GD30CE a rich, resonant acoustic voice with the volume and low-end authority players expect from a full-size dreadnought.
A soft Venetian-style cutaway provides comfortable access to the upper frets, while the slim mahogany neck and 12"-radius ovangkol fingerboard make the GD30CE equally at home with strumming, flatpicking, and fingerstyle playing.
Solid-Top Dreadnought Tone
At the heart of the GD30CE is its solid spruce soundboard, offering excellent projection, clarity, and dynamic response. The dreadnought body provides a powerful low end and plenty of acoustic volume, making this an excellent all-around instrument for singers, songwriters, performers, and players who need an acoustic that can handle a wide range of styles.
Takamine TP-4TD Electronics
When it's time to plug in, the GD30CE is equipped with Takamine's TP-4TD preamp system. The onboard electronics provide three-band EQ and gain controls for shaping your amplified sound, along with a convenient built-in chromatic tuner. Whether you're connecting to an acoustic amplifier, PA system, or recording setup, the GD30CE is ready to perform.
Comfortable, Performance-Ready Design
The slim mahogany neck is paired with an ovangkol fingerboard featuring a comfortable 12" radius and traditional dot position markers. A 42.8mm (1.6875") nut width provides familiar steel-string spacing, while the soft Venetian cutaway makes lead work and upper-register playing considerably easier than on a traditional non-cutaway dreadnought.
Finishing touches include a synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle, pearloid rosette, chrome die-cast tuning machines, and an elegant Gloss Natural finish.
