The Takamine GC1 NAT brings Takamine build quality and traditional classical-guitar design to an exceptionally accessible nylon-string instrument. With its fan-braced spruce top, sapele back and sides, comfortable mahogany neck, and full 650mm classical scale, the GC1 delivers a warm, balanced voice with the clarity and responsiveness players expect from a traditional classical guitar.

Whether you're beginning your journey with nylon-string guitar, adding a classical instrument to your collection, or looking for an affordable guitar for fingerstyle, Latin, bossa nova, classical, or acoustic arrangements, the GC1 offers excellent playability and musicality without unnecessary extras.

Traditional Classical Construction

The GC1 features a spruce top with traditional fan bracing, giving the guitar a clear, responsive character with excellent note definition. Sapele back and sides complement the spruce top with warmth and balance, while the full-size classical body provides a natural, resonant acoustic voice.

A mahogany neck and laurel fingerboard provide a comfortable playing feel, while the traditional 50.8mm (2") nut width gives your fretting hand the string spacing expected from a proper classical instrument. The 650mm scale length likewise follows established classical-guitar proportions.

Elegant Takamine Details

Despite its affordable price, the GC1 includes a number of details that give it the look and feel of a much more expensive instrument. An inlaid mosaic rosette surrounds the soundhole, while a synthetic bone nut and saddle contribute to consistent response and reliable performance. Chrome classical-style tuning machines with white pearl buttons complete the traditional appearance.

The entire instrument is finished in an elegant Gloss Natural finish that highlights the character of the woods.
