The SM57 is a professional cardioid dynamic microphone designed for instruments and amplifiers in live sound and studio recording. Its contoured frequency response delivers clean instrumental reproduction with a presence rise that helps sources cut through a mix, while also providing rich vocal pickup when needed.

A uniform cardioid pattern isolates the main sound source and reduces background noise. The pneumatic shock-mount system minimizes handling noise, and the rugged construction withstands demanding stage and studio use. The SM57 is especially well suited to drums, percussion, guitar and bass amplifiers, brass, woodwinds, and acoustic instruments.
