This Nord Wave 2 was supplied to us directly by Nord's authorized U.S. distributor as B-Stock Grade B1. We have personally unpacked, inspected, and tested this instrument and found no cosmetic or functional issues. In our inspection, we found no indication that the keyboard itself is anything other than new; the packaging has previously been opened, and some interior packing materials may show minor evidence of handling.

The instrument is fully functional, presents in like-new condition, and includes the original packaging and included accessories.

The Nord Wave 2 is a powerful 4-part performance synthesizer designed around one of Nord's most immediate and flexible interfaces. Rather than committing you to a single synthesis method, each of its four independent layers can use Virtual Analog, Wavetable, FM, or sample-based synthesis, making the Wave 2 equally comfortable creating classic subtractive synth sounds, evolving digital textures, layered acoustic and Mellotron-style sounds, or complex hybrid patches.

Four dedicated layer faders make it easy to balance complex sounds in real time, while dedicated controls for oscillators, filters, envelopes, modulation, and effects keep the sound-design process hands-on and performance-oriented. Nord's Group Mode allows multiple layers to be edited together as one coherent sound, while up to four keyboard zones with optional crossfades make sophisticated splits and layered setups straightforward to build.

The Wave 2 offers 48-voice polyphony and a 61-note velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch. Its oscillator section includes classic analog waveforms, multi-oscillator and sync configurations, extensive wavetables, 2-, 3-, and 4-operator FM, and compatibility with the Nord Sample Library 3.0. User samples can also be created and transferred using the Nord Sample Editor.

Performance features are a major part of the Wave 2's appeal. Multiple parameters can be morphed in real time from velocity, aftertouch, the modulation wheel, or a control pedal, while Impulse Morph allows dramatic parameter changes to be triggered instantly. An advanced arpeggiator includes traditional, polyphonic, Gate, and Pattern modes, and the master clock can synchronize arpeggiators, LFOs, delays, and other time-based effects across multiple layers.

Each layer also has its own dedicated effects section, including modulation effects, EQ and drive, stereo delay, and reverb. Combined with six filter types, including Nord's modeled transistor-ladder filter, the Wave 2 provides substantial sound-design depth without sacrificing immediacy.
