Developed with Grammy-recognized artist Byron “Mr. TalkBox” Chambers, the MXR Mr. TalkBox Signature Talk Box is a professional-grade talk box built for both keyboardists and guitarists. It delivers more power, greater headroom, expanded control, and improved articulation while keeping the low end thick and full.

Compared with the standard MXR M222 Talk Box, the Mr. TalkBox Signature model upgrades the internal amplifier from 10 watts to 25 watts and uses a larger, lightweight neodymium speaker driver. The result is increased headroom and dynamic response, with clear articulation of vowels and consonants and plenty of low-end weight.

Shape Your Voice

Volume, Tone, and Gain controls give you extensive control over the response of the talk box. The Tone control retains the musical tilt-EQ response of the M222, while the Tone and Gain controls can be pushed for a more aggressive voice.

Flexible Signal Routing

A Mute toggle switch lets you choose how your instrument signal is routed. In Mute mode, your instrument plays through the talk box tube without being sent through the pedal's output. Disengage Mute and the signal is heard through both the talk box and the output to your amp—ideal for thicker sounds and smooth transitions between talk box and conventional passages.

Built for Keyboards & Guitar

Keyboard players often work with hotter signals, so the MRT01 includes a Gain Bypass switch that routes the incoming signal around the preamp stage and clipping diodes for additional headroom. Guitarists can also use Gain Bypass when they want to drive the talk box power amp with their own pedal stack.

Portable & Powerful

The MRT01 has its own amplifier and speaker driver built in, so there's no need for a separate amplifier or connection to your amp's speaker output. Its compact, rugged design fits easily on a pedalboard or desktop while providing the power required for professional performance.
