Combining granular synthesis with powerful dynamics processing, Textures records what you play and reshapes it into shifting tones and timbres—from shimmering pads and glitched-out rhythms to cascading pitch-shifted echoes, lush reverberations, and evolving ambient soundscapes.

Instead of simply delaying your audio, Textures breaks it into tiny snippets called grains and gives you extensive control over how they're played back. Reverse them, shift their pitch, freeze them, feed them back into cascading shimmers, or introduce randomization for sounds that continually evolve.

Three Powerful Modes

The Mode button determines how Textures captures and replays your instrument:

• Delay Mode: Continuously chops your notes and chords into grains for everything from clean repeats and smeared trails to pitch-shifted echoes.
• Auto-Freeze Mode: Listens for your playing, captures it, and sustains it as lush, evolving washes of sound.
• Layers Mode: Samples up to four notes or chords into independent buffers, each with its own fade-in and fade-out shape—ideal for stacking harmonies, building polyphonic pads, and creating complex layered textures.

Eight Presets to Get You Started

Granular synthesis can go incredibly deep, but you don't have to start from scratch. Textures includes eight ready-to-play presets covering sounds such as regenerative octave loops, warbling polyphonic synth textures, glitchy blips, and sub-octave pads with stuttering vibrato. Use them as finished sounds or as starting points for your own experimentation.

Shape Every Grain

A comprehensive control set lets you sculpt the granular engine in detail. Size and Overlap determine the length and number of grains, while Pitch and Reverse control playback speed and direction. Delay and Regen determine how the grains move through time, and Mix takes you from your clean signal all the way to fully granular textures.

Go Even Deeper

Hold the Reverse or Mode button while adjusting the controls to unlock a second layer of parameters. Add randomization for passages that never quite repeat, fine-tune the onboard reverb, filter, and vibrato, or tap in a tempo to synchronize your grains to the beat.

Built for Real-Time Expression

Connect an expression pedal to morph between heel and toe settings in real time, or connect an MXR Split + Tap for hands-free preset scrolling, tap tempo, and freeze control.

Flexible stereo I/O supports mono, wet/dry, and true stereo configurations, making Textures equally at home on a pedalboard, in an ambient stereo rig, or as part of a larger experimental sound-design setup.
