The Lehle Mono Volume is a premium active volume pedal designed for players who want exceptionally smooth, precise volume control without the wear, noise, or tonal compromises associated with conventional potentiometer-based volume pedals.

Instead of a traditional mechanical pot, the Mono Volume uses a German-made Hall-effect magnetic sensor that measures the position of the pedal and controls a high-quality Blackmer® VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier). This allows extremely precise, virtually wear-free operation while eliminating the typical noise and adjustment issues of conventional volume pedal designs.

Across the entire control range, the Lehle Mono Volume is designed to preserve the full frequency spectrum of the connected instrument. Its input and output impedances remain constant as the pedal moves, helping avoid the loss of high frequencies that can occur with traditional potentiometer-based volume pedals.

The volume range extends from approximately -92 dB to 0 dB, while the recessed gain control can add up to approximately +10 dB of boost. At its minimum setting, the gain control provides unity gain when the pedal is fully forward; turning it up increases the maximum output level without changing the frequency response.

A separate buffered DIR output sends the original input signal at the same level and can feed a tuner, second amplifier, or other destination without loading down the source signal. This also makes silent tuning easy: rock the main VOL output down to mute your amp while the tuner continues receiving signal from the DIR output.

The Mono Volume works with a wide range of instruments and signal types, including electric guitar and bass, acoustic instruments with pickup systems, and both active and passive pickups. Its approximately 2 MΩ input impedance allows it to accept both high- and low-impedance sources.

Mechanically, the pedal is built for smooth, stable operation. Low-friction high-performance polymer bearings provide a fluid feel, and an adjustment screw lets you fine-tune the pedal resistance to make the action heavier or lighter to suit your preference.

Flexible pedalboard power: The Lehle Mono Volume requires an external power supply and accepts 9–15V DC or 7–12V AC at 50 mA. A standard 9V center-negative pedalboard supply works fine, but the pedal itself is not polarity-sensitive. Incoming power is internally rectified, filtered, stabilized, and brought to 18V, helping provide excellent headroom and a total dynamic range of 110 dB. Power supply is not included.
