Patterns on the edge of chaos

A Linear Feedback Shift Register uses digital logic and feedback to produce repeating, pseudo-random bit sequences. The oscillators interact with this network, producing sounds ranging from elastic pulses and metallic chatter to percussive glitches, rough static, and scraping textures.

Shape, freeze, and interrupt

Adjust the filter resonance for ringing tones and use the low-pass gate to shape brightness and level together. Blend gate and echo outputs, then explore the freeze amount, held stutters, and a second, subtler freeze mode. Input and output buttons work with their toggle switches for momentary gating or muting.

Process external sounds

Connect instruments, contact microphones, drum machines, or other sources to the audio input. Combine incoming audio with the internal oscillators and reshape it through the instrument’s processing for experimental performance or sound-design work.

Control-voltage connections

Four mono 3.5 mm inputs provide external control. FREQ1 accepts 0–5 V gates or triggers; FREQ2, LPF, and FRZ accept 0–10 V modulation. Patching LPF or FRZ replaces its internal LFSR modulation, with the corresponding LFSR knob attenuating the incoming CV.
