This gauge is designed to provide a slightly heavier wound-string feel than a standard 10-46 set while retaining familiar plain-string gauges. The wound strings use nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around tin-plated hex-shaped steel cores. Specially tempered, tin-plated high-carbon steel plain strings provide balanced tone and consistent feel.
