EBS BSU Billy Sheehan Ultimate Signature Bass Drive Pedal

The EBS Billy Sheehan Ultimate Signature Drive lets bassists blend clean and distorted tones in parallel without running two separate rigs. Developed with Billy Sheehan, the pedal combines compression, distortion, tone shaping, and signal blending into a single powerful tool for shaping articulate, aggressive bass tones.

Parallel signal paths split the incoming signal into clean and driven channels, allowing precise blending using the Clean and Drive Level controls. A built-in compressor keeps the clean signal tight and punchy, while a Phase Inverter switch helps recover low-end that may be lost through phase cancellation. The Boost footswitch adds additional gain when you need extra presence in the mix.

A Hi/Lo Frequency Filter shifts the entire range of the Tone control, opening up distortion textures that were not available in earlier versions. Separate effects loops for the Clean and Drive paths allow independent processing of each signal. Players using basses with dual outputs can also route lows clean while shaping mids and highs through the drive path. The Ultimate version includes all features from the Deluxe model, including easy drive chip swapping, with expanded tone shaping via the Hi/Lo filter.
