Dingwall SP1 5-String Multi-Scale Bass, Gloss Ducati Pearl White, Rosewood

Classic passive bass character meets Dingwall's modern multi-scale design in the SP1 5-string, finished here in beautiful Gloss Ducati Pearl White with a rosewood fingerboard and matte-black pickguard.

Inspired by Dingwall's Canadian Custom Shop Super P, the SP1 brings traditional styling and straightforward passive electronics together with the clarity, definition and ergonomic multi-scale design for which Dingwall is known.

This 5-string example features an alder body, one-piece maple bolt-on neck and rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. The Gloss Ducati Pearl White finish contrasts beautifully with the dark rosewood board, black pickguard and black hardware for a clean, modern take on a classic bass aesthetic.

Actual measured weight is 9 lb 1.6 oz. A Dingwall padded gig bag is included.

32"–35" Multi-Scale Design

The SP1 5-string uses Dingwall's 32"–35" multi-scale layout, giving the low B string a full 35" scale for added clarity and definition while progressively shortening the scale toward the treble side. The result is a strong, focused low end with a comfortable and familiar feel across the upper strings.

This more compact multi-scale geometry gives the SP1 a distinctly traditional playing character while retaining many of the tonal and ergonomic advantages of Dingwall's fanned-fret design.

Passive Dual-P + FD3n Electronics

The SP1 is completely passive, with no battery or onboard active EQ required. A Dingwall Dual-P pickup in the neck position provides punch, warmth and authoritative low-mid character, while an FD3n bridge pickup expands the tonal range with additional articulation and definition.

A 4-position Quad-Tone pickup selector provides four useful pickup combinations, while master volume and master tone controls keep operation intuitive and straightforward.
