A stunning current-spec Dingwall NG3 4-string in Gloss Blackforest Green with matching headstock, matte-black hardware, three FD3n pickups and Darkglass Tone Capsule electronics.

Developed with Adam “Nolly” Getgood, the Dingwall NG3 combines Dingwall's renowned multi-scale design with powerful, exceptionally versatile electronics. This 4-string example pairs an alder body with a maple neck and maple fingerboard, finished in gorgeous Gloss Blackforest Green with a matching headstock and carbon-fibre-print pickguard.

The current-spec matte-black hardware complements the deep metallic green finish beautifully, while Dingwall's Minimalist bridge provides a clean, modern appearance. At an actual measured weight of just 8 lb 10.7 oz, this is also a nicely manageable example of the NG3-4.

Multi-Scale Design

The NG3-4 uses Dingwall's 34"–36.25" multi-scale layout, providing increased scale length and tension on the lower strings while retaining a familiar 34" scale on the G string. The result is the tight low-end response, definition and clarity for which Dingwall basses are known, without sacrificing a natural playing feel across the fingerboard.

FD3n Pickups & Darkglass Electronics

Three Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups give the NG3 an unusually broad range of tones. A 4-position Quad-Tone selector provides four useful pickup combinations, while the onboard Darkglass Tone Capsule supplies active 3-band EQ with Bass, Low-Mid and High-Mid controls.

The bass can also be operated in passive mode, making the NG3 equally capable of aggressive modern tones, articulate clean sounds and more traditional passive-bass textures.
