Produced from 1983 to 1991, the BOSS HM-2 Heavy Metal is a true cult classic among distortion pedals. When maxed, its signature “chainsaw tone” with ultra-scooped mids and grinding lows defined the sound of Swedish death metal. For other styles, it was the benchmark for thick, saturated rhythm tones in the '80s, beloved for its clarity, string separation, and full-spectrum attack.

The HM-2W Waza Craft version brings back the legendary analog sound in its original form, with a newly refined Custom mode that delivers more gain and greater low-end response. Built in Japan with the highest attention to detail, this reissue gives loyal fans everything they want—plus modern versatility for today's players.
