The vintage BOSS CE-1 preamp and modern high-headroom clean boost are both onboard, providing two independent voices with shared EQ. There’s also a selectable buffer that strengthens your signal when using the pedal in bypass, ensuring crystal-clear tone all the way to your amp. Designed for serious players, the BP-1W is an essential tone enhancer for any pedalboard.

The BP-1W features two analog preamp circuits for coloration or clean boost. The CE preamp is derived from the vintage BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, known for its pleasing warmth and rich character. The Clean mode delivers a wide-open boost with ample headroom, perfect for hitting tube amps and gain pedals with extra punch. A two-band EQ offers a wide range of tone shaping, and the Level knob dials in the perfect volume balance or driving boost.

The BP-1W features high-quality bypass with an enhanced buffer circuit that offers excellent performance for modern pedalboards. The buffer preserves your tone over long cable runs and when multiple pedals are connected, helping you maintain presence and clarity. It’s also possible to turn the buffer off entirely for true bypass operation.
