The BECOS Ziffer Jordan Ziff Signature MINI Overdrive takes the classic Tube Screamer concept and expands it into an exceptionally flexible analog overdrive for guitar, bass, and beyond. Developed with guitarist Jordan Ziff (RATT, Marty Friedman), the Ziffer delivers everything from transparent edge-of-breakup tones to rich, singing lead sounds while offering a level of tone shaping rarely found in a mini overdrive pedal.

Hand-built in Austria, the Ziffer was inspired by Jordan Ziff's approach of using an overdrive to push a vintage Marshall amplifier. Starting with the familiar feel of a classic TS-style circuit, BECOS added innovative controls that dramatically increase its versatility without sacrificing the responsive, musical character players love.

Classic Inspiration, Modern Flexibility

The familiar Gain, Tone, and Level controls are joined by a three-position Clipping selector that offers Classic, Asymmetric, and LED clipping modes, allowing the pedal to range from vintage Tube Screamer warmth to more open, dynamic overdrive textures.

A selectable Deep mode adds low-frequency response, making the pedal equally effective with single-coil guitars and bass while producing fuller rhythm tones when desired.

Unique Tone-Shaping Features

Where the Ziffer truly separates itself is its advanced dry signal processing. An internal Dry/Wet Mix control allows clean signal to be blended with the overdriven sound for greater clarity, articulation, and note definition. A dedicated Dry EQ control further shapes only the clean signal, allowing you to emphasize lows or highs without changing the character of the overdrive itself.

These features make the Ziffer equally comfortable as a transparent boost, a dynamic low-gain overdrive, a classic rock drive, or even a bass overdrive that preserves low-end punch and clarity.

It operates from 9–18V DC for increased headroom and transparency, and can even be run at reduced voltage for players seeking additional vintage-style sag and character.
